Preparing for Your NCA Exam?

I turned to Vanessa on 3 separate occasions to help me through the Lawyer Licensing Process in Ontario. Once for the NCA constitutional law exam, once for the solicitor exam and once for the barrister exam. Each time, I achieved a successful result on first try. I had been familiar with the painful and disheartening feeling of failing exams and I truly credit Vanessa’s style of teaching, notes and strategies, and very generous nature as the reasons I made it through. Getting your NCAs done is an amazing feeling. Although it can be done, you must be prepared for a lot of hard work and time commitment to your studies. One of the exams that I really felt was going to be challenge was Criminal Law. I reached to Vanessa because this is a subject that distraught me. Vanessa’s notes and classes work as complete package to help you understand and manage a subject at an NCA level. I am happy to say I crushed that exam. I had 8 exams to complete after NCA assessment. I was able to finish all of them with a full-time job. Some time ago, I contacted Vanessa Santa and was provided with notes for one of the National Committee on Accreditation modules, which involved the summary of a very lengthy seminal text in that particular area of law. This was to assist me in aiding a student who was taking a course. She responded very quickly and was entirely helpful. Not only that, but I noted that she was very kind and extremely passionate about both the law and educating others. Upon receiving and reviewing her notes, it was obvious that they were a clear, concise and complete summary of the text, in accordance with the Committee’s requirements. Her organizational method was superb, and indexing was extremely helpful and made quick referencing simple and effective. I was concerned, initially, in relying on someone else’s notes, however, having seen them first-hand and used them, I can say without hesitation that they would be absolutely invaluable to any student writing the NCA qualifying exams. I feel I am entitled to say this because I too was an NCA candidate and completed their exams. I believe the process would have been simpler had I had Vanessa Santa’s notes to assist me.

When you are ready to embark on your NCA journey you’ll likely have two things in mind; going through the process in an efficient manner and gaining the knowledge and understanding to be prepared to write your barristers and solicitors exam. I came across plenty of resources, ‘tutors’, courses on my path to completing the NCA process but from my honest experience, no source was as diligent and helpful as Vanessa Santa. I spent time with ‘tutors’ who would spend an entire session saying “if you see something like this, cut copy paste” a written answer they provide you. The value that was provided from me from those tutors was a written answer that I can take into the exam and copy, but when it came down to actually learning concepts or having a wide scope of understanding of the law…there was none. With Vanessa, her notes alone are so thorough that simply reading them and having them with you in the exam puts you in an optimal spot for success. She takes time with explanation of the law, caselaw, rules, sample answers and articles. Her knowledge of the law and dedication to create useful and detailed material for students is extremely evident. When I came across her actual teaching methods, (not just self studying with her notes), my understanding and even enjoyment of the law reached another level. Her teaching methods and grasp of the law is once again evident, and the way she combines real life situations with the law gives her students a great understanding of the scope of what is being taught. She is extremely responsive on messenger, anytime I have a question, I know from the countless times before that I won’t have to wait long for a thorough and helpful response. I feel grateful to have come across Vanessa during this journey. It has not only saved me plenty of time and money, but has also prepared me for the next steps ahead be it the upcoming examinations and even practise.

I want to thank Vanessa Santa for her thorough notes. She took careful measures to ensure her notes were straight forward and easy to grasp. From the moment I got them and began studying, I knew I’d be successful in passing the exams. Vanessa’s construction of the notes are truly amazing. Vanessa was honestly a life saver! She is a fantastic person, teacher, guider you name it. She geniuenly cares for all her students and will do whatever is in her power to help you. You seriously can do no wrong by coming to her for help. I got her help for Constitutional Law and Civil Procedure. Her notes are great. they cover the syllabus thoroughly and they are very well laid out so everything is easy to follow and understand. She also provides a bunch of other resources for some courses that are very helpful such as answer frameworks or answers to the practice exam, flowcharts etc. Those really make one’s life easier. I struggled with the self-study component of the NCA exams for a while and was so relieved when I came across Vanessa’s notes. I admire that she was super honest with me about how many sessions I would need. She didn’t exaggerate the number to get more money from me. Her notes, too, were well done. I would highly recommend Vanessa to anyone doing their NCA exams! She is a tutor that really cares for her students and helps set them up for success. She is always available to answer any questions. I got both her notes and lecture videos, which were so helpful. Her notes are very detailed and easy to follow and understand. She also includes both a sample exam and sample answers. You can tell how much hard work she put into these notes. Completing Law school in England and then coming back to having to complete the NCAs and the bar exams does feel like a daunting process, especially when you feel there is no structure or direction. Having Vanessa as a mentor throughout this one year and a bit process helped me immensely! From writing all 6 NCAs in 3 months and writing my barrister and solicitor, it was truly a 100 % pass rate for me on the first try. This was all thanks to Vanessa. Vanessa Santaguida is without a doubt the best tutor for the Ontario Bar exams. The LSO Bar Material is very extensive and overwhelming. As a mother of three and articling full time, I had little time to study. I had no idea how to approach the exam or what to focus on. Her video recordings, notes, and charts were very clear and explanatory. There were many concepts and principles that she breaks down into the simplest form. I could tell that Vaneesa is not just a Lawyer, but also a Certified Teacher. She is very knowledgeable of the Barrister Material from the LSO. I had several questions and, she was always prompt to answer. She genuinely cared and wanted me to pass on the first attempt. Thanks to Vanessa Santaguida, founder of NCA Mentor, I passed the Barrister exam on my first attempt! Vanessa’s notes are simply flat-out the best out there.  They take 2 to 4 days to read.  They are comprehensive.  I highly recommend her supplementary notes as she has many examples for each major legal issue for each exam.  And very valuable when you encounter an obscure problem question that is in her examples.  Many times during the exams, I said thank goodness for Vanessa’s notes.  Her notes fill in the gaps that other note providers lack.    Vanessa recommends reading the required materials and using her notes; I understand her reasons for that.  However, when I showed my principal my unwrapped shrink-wrapped books after completing my exams, my principal said, “impressive”.  The notes are in chronological order based on the syllabus, with an excellent overview and summary of the materials.    Without her notes, I would not have completed the NCA exams (in my case, 7 exams) in seven months.  That’s a fact.     Without a doubt, I would recommend using Vanessa’s notes.
